Dana Sellars - Tlingit
DANA SELLARS is of Tlingit origin. Dana was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. She is of the crow moiety, belongs to the Kookhitaan clan, and is a member of Carcross/Tagish First Nation. She is the only child of Rose and Tim Sellars. Her maternal grandparents are Walter and Marion Huebschwerlen and her maternal great-grandmother is Margaret Breton (nee Carvill). Dana was appointed to the Dáanaa Jíli (Cache) Trust as the first Youth Trustee in the summer of 2022.
Dana is currently attending the University of Victoria and will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She plans to obtain her master's degree in physiotherapy.
Dana has worked in restaurants, as well as at a Golf Course, and a couple of physiotherapy clinics. She is looking forward to learning about investments as this is a good skill to have in life. She is happy to be involved in something that will provide funding to our First Nation family for future generations.
