Belonging to the Dak`laweidí clan, Knats Tlaa (Marge Baufeld) is the youngest in the family line of Ethel Baufeld (Hammond) whose parents were David and Helen Hammond. Marge resides at her grandparents’ homestead on the traditional territory of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation at Marsh Lake. Marge has worked at the Training Policy Committee as the Executive Director responsible for overseeing the operations of this Trust born out of Chapter 28 of the Land Claims Agreements. She then went on to work for 20 years in the implementation of Chapter 22 of the Land Claims Agreements in employment and training at Yukon government. Marge has been on the Dáanaa Jíli (Cache) Trust since September of 2012 and feels it is an honor and privilege to perform this work.
